Junior Jeremy Endara won his first match of the season against Comsewogue. That in itself doesn't sound that impressive, but Jeremy is in his first year of wrestling and as happens with most new wrestlers, there is a price to be paid on the mat. Jeremy has been working hard and though not winning on the mat has been getting better. Jeremy's first dividends for his hard work came in the form of his first victory, a first period pin against his opponent from Comsewogue. The entire team was up cheering like the win had decided the match. It was a true team moment. Congratulations Jeremy!
Senior Ed Ford interviewed about his experiences as a first year wrestler after the Cory Hubbard Duals Championship meet win against Longwood 34-33. Ed was INSTRUMENTAL as he was able to keep a match close and keep the Canes down by only 5 to allow Tyler Skala to step to the mat with the opportunity to "pin and win" (which he did). |
