“We wanted to start the year with the highest level of competition to see where we stand with New York State’s best,” said Bryant Athletic Director/Assistant Coach Peter Cardone. After all, he points out, wrestlers improve by facing tougher competition. Cardone will be working with Bryant Head Coach Joe Goetz, Assistant Coach Joseph Weinstein, and Assistant Coach Raheem Williams.
This tournament will consist of varsity round robin duals and Junior Varsity individual matches, helping to develop the J.V. wrestlers with this unique opportunity.
Teams slated to attend the competition include Massapequa 1, Massapequa 2, Monsignor Farrell, Westhampton Beach, Bryant, Petrides, Tottenville, and the Newcastle team from Oklahoma.
